Momentum continues to build behind the re-election bid of Senator Abba Patrick Moro, Senate Minority Leader and representative of Benue South Senatorial District, as the influential G-9 Women Movement threw its full weight behind him ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At an expanded executive meeting held in Otukpo, the group publicly declared its endorsement of Senator Moro, describing him as a dependable leader with a consistent track record of service, empowerment, and purposeful representation.

The meeting, which was attended by critical PDP stakeholders and political mobilizers from across Zone C, was a fusion of appreciation, political strategy, and a bold declaration of intent to secure another term for the man many have described as “the people’s senator.”

Speaking on behalf of the group, North Central PDP Woman Leader, Hon. Mrs. Owakoyi Igharuwa, hailed Senator Moro for facilitating numerous federal appointments that have benefitted women and youths across the nine local governments in Benue South. She described his leadership as a rare blend of vision, courage, and results.

“Senator Moro is a pillar of support to the women of Zone C. From critical appointments to tangible projects in our communities, his footprints are everywhere. We, the G-9 Women, proudly endorse him for re-election in 2027,” Igharuwa declared to resounding applause.

Echoing similar sentiments, Hon. Mrs. Alice Albert, PDP State Woman Leader, praised Senator Moro for his unwavering support for women-led initiatives and political inclusion.

“With Senator Moro, women are not just seen; we are heard and empowered. His leadership is what we need to consolidate PDP’s strength in Zone C,” she said.

Senator Moro, visibly moved by the show of solidarity, commended the G-9 Women Movement for its political maturity, strategic mobilization, and loyalty to the PDP. He reiterated his commitment to the empowerment of women, community development, and effective legislative representation.

“I am honoured by your support. It is your trust that drives me. I assure you, as always, that I will not relent. Together, we will secure a stronger, more prosperous Zone C,” Senator Moro assured.

The event also featured goodwill messages from former Okpokwu Council Chairperson Hon. Mrs. Amina Audu and Rt. Hon. George Alli, Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, both of whom are beneficiaries of Senator Moro’s political goodwill and developmental drive.

As 2027 approaches, this high-profile endorsement from one of the most vocal and organized women blocs in Benue South signals the growing consolidation of Senator Moro’s support base — a sign that his campaign for continuity is already gaining critical grassroots traction.
